What is Thermal Binding?
At ThermoBind we sell empty hard cover and soft cover books that have a heat activated adhesive or resin inside the spine. The correct spine width is selected for the appropriate volume of sheets. Then the cover with the sheets inside is placed into a thermal binding machine where it rests on a heating plate. After a minute or so the glue slightly wicks into the paper and the cover is removed and placed into a cooling rack. The result is a book store quality report presentation. Depending upon the machine and the spine width, as many as 20 covers can be bound at the same time.
